Applying CBD topically may help:
- Allievate pain and promote a healthy inflammation response.* Massages with CBD oil have been reported to relieve chronic pain and inflammation. It may even be helpful for burns, cuts, and scars.
- Relieve PMS cramping and pain.* The Hemp Extract combined with nourishing coconut oil, absorbed into the skin and CB1 and CB2 receptors, can help reduce cramping, breast tenderness, sore joints, and back pain.
- Relieve joint pain.* The uses of cannabinoids have been shown to reduce inflammation and strengthen the immune system. Miracle Choice Hemp Extract is an all-organic, safe and natural way to manage pain.
- Improve skin conditions.* Miracle Choice Hemp Extract is a nourishing and anti-inflammatory way to treat sunburns, bug bites, chapped lips, dry skin, rashes and burns. It also shows promise for treating acne, eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.*
Taking CBD orally may help to:
- Treat Endocannabinoid Deficiency.* Through the stresses and strains of modern living, the Endocannabinoid system can become depleted, making it less effective at bringing balance to the body. American neurologist, Dr. Ethan Russo has termed this as a Endocannabinoid deficiency, and suggests that it may be the root cause of difficult to explain illnesses such as migraines, fibromyalgia, MS, and IBS.*
- Allievate pain and promote a healthy inflammation response.* The cannabidiol (CBD), found in the hemp plant, can help with pain and inflammation. CBD is an alternative to the highly addictive opiate-based pain medications, such as Vicodin and OxyContin.*
- Calm anxiety.* Endocannabinoids activate the part of the brain associated with feeling good. Supplementing with a full spectrum cannabinoid product can encourage the creation of receptors and endocannabinoids.*
- Improve sleep quality.* Cannabinoids in hemp extract are known to relieve pain, reduce anxiety and stress, and create a calming effect. All these factors contribute to increased sleep time and quality.*
- Relieve PMS symptoms.* The combination effect of cannabinoids blocking pain and reducing inflammation makes hemp extract a great option for women before or during their menstrual cycle.*
- Boost the immune system.* Recent research suggest that CBD is a strong antioxidant that is more efficient than Vitamin C and Vitamin E at protecting cells from free radical damage.*
- Prevent or lessen seizure activity.* CBD oil has been especially useful in for children with seizure disorders, in many cases allowing them to stop taking prescribed sedatives that cause lethargic behavior.*
- Treat or lessen opiate addiction. There is accumulating research that cannabinoids, and CBD in particular, appear to be a therapeutic option for pain and anxiety, without the dangers of overdose and addiction.* And a recent study also found that CBD may help treat symptoms that are know to trigger relapse in alcoholics and drug addicts, like anxiety, withdrawal symptoms, cravings and impulsivity.*
- Improve mental health. Cannabinoids are being studied for their positive effects on the brain. Early studies indicate that CBD boosts signaling in serotonin receptors, which can reduce anxiety and boost mood.* Other studies are finding that CBD boosts neuron production in the hippocampus, offering a promising treatment for depression.*
- Lessen or slow neurodegeneration disorders. The endocannabinoid system connects the body with the parts of the brain that control many things, such as pain, movement, and memory. Research is currently being conducted to examine cannabinoids as a possible treatment for disorders such as Parkinson’s, MS, Huntington’s, epilepsy, tremors, Alzheimer’s, and schizophrenia.*

Ways to Use
For thousands of years, elixir’s/tinctures have been widely used by ancient civilizations. Now, modern science is uncovering and validating their beliefs that nature holds the power to heal our bodies and minds, safely and effectively.
One of the main benefits of an elixir is the ease of consumption. All you have to do is place a small amount of the elixir solution from the dropper under your tongue. Leave the solution under the tongue to be absorbed completely; do not swallow. This method is known as sublingual absorption, providing the longest therapeutic effects.
Elixir’s, or tinctures, are viewed as the most effective means of utilizing the sublingual route for Therapeutic Hemp administration. Why are they so effective? Since the elixir enters the body through sublingual absorption, it is able to bypass first pass metabolism because of the large amount of capillaries below the tongue.
In a study that compared the bioavailability of oral and sublingual CBD solutions, the results showed that the CBD that was sublingually absorbed illustrated significantly higher bioavailability than the CBD that was taken orally.
Bioavailability of CBD varies greatly depending on the method of administration. In addition to the sublingual consumption of CBD, the most common applications are topical, ingestion, and inhalation.
Sublingual Options
As we mentioned, when Therapeutic Hemp Oil is administered sublingually, it’s held under the tongue for up to 90 seconds so that the mucus membranes in the mouth can absorb the oil’s active ingredients, ensuring not to swallow the elixir. The benefit of consuming CBD oil sublingually is that the absorption process bypasses the digestive system and liver metabolization, allowing the compounds to reach your bloodstream and interact with the endocannabinoid system more quickly.
Topical Options
Some CBD oil products are designed to be applied directly onto the skin. The active ingredients in these topical CBD products are absorbed through the skin so that they can interact with cells that are nearby the surface without ever entering the bloodstream. Topical CBD oil products are ideal for those looking for isolated pain relief. You need to ensure that the skin remains moisturized to receive the benefits over a longer period of time.
Ingestion Options
Studies performed where CBD was administered orally showed very low bioavailability levels.
When you ingest CBD oil, it passes through the digestive system, entering your gut and metabolized through the liver, before eventually sending its active compounds to your bloodstream.
During this transition, the liver will actively reduce the amount of CBD, either through absorption or through chemical breakdown by liver enzymes. This phenomenon is called the “first-pass effect,” where passing through the liver reduces the concentration of bioactive compounds.
CBD Isolates have been refined to a single molecule, while full spectrum hemp products use the whole plant and preserve many different molecules within the extract.
Research suggests that single-molecule CBD is less effective therapeutically than whole plant, CBD-rich hemp extract. Scientific studies have established that synthetic CBD has a very narrow therapeutic window. Whether synthesized in a lab or isolated from natural hemp, single-molecule CBD lacks critical secondary cannabinoids and other medicinal compounds that interact to enhance health benefits. Scientists call this synergy among compounds the “entourage effect.” In short, the therapeutic impact of whole plant cannabis is greater than the sum of its parts.
The approach we recommend is to begin taking a specific amount of Elixir or Isolate twice a day for the first 3-4 days so you can assess its effect. Then increase or decrease the amount based on the results.
Taking the Elixir sublingually—by placing the drops beneath your tongue—is perhaps the fastest and most efficient method of absorption. You may begin to feel relief within minutes. If you add it to a drink or food, you’ll wait longer for the effects, but it may prevent potential side effects like headaches and dysphoria.
Topical formulas applied to the skin provide slow, uniform absorption, while the soothing oils moisturize and localize the benefits of the cannabinoids over a longer period of time.
Although our whole-plant hemp extracts contain only trace amounts of THC, we cannot say with 100% certainty that you will pass a drug test when consuming the product.
If it’s a concern, an excellent option is our CBD Isolate products.
We’re not aware of anyone becoming intoxicated from taking our hemp extract. Cannabidiol (CBD) is neither psychoactive nor addicting.
Among its many benefits, some customers describe the general effect as “a sense of calm.” Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the compound in cannabis that makes one feel “high.” The amount of THC in hemp is negligible (0.3% or less).
Thanks to legislative changes in 2018, hemp products were removed from the Controlled Substances Act. Hemp contains virtually no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the intoxicating substance prevalent in marijuana. The federal standard for hemp is 0.3% or less.
At Miracles of Health we leave nothing to chance. We provide quality assurance by having all of our hemp products tested by an accredited laboratory for purity and strength. Check the label. What’s on the bottle is in the bottle! Colorado is a hemp-friendly state. However, some states do impose restrictions on hemp and CBD products, while the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is still working out consumer protection standards on a national level.
Look for products with clear labels showing the quantity of CBD per dose, a “best by” date, and a quality control “lot” number. Select products with quality ingredients: no corn syrup, transfats, GMOs, artificial additives, thinning agents, or preservatives.
Products should be tested by an accredited lab for consistency and verified as being free of mold, bacteria, pesticides, solvent residues, and other contaminants.
Avoid products extracted using toxic solvents like butane, propane, hexane or other hydrocarbons. We use a safe extraction method, a unique vapor distillation process for all Miracles of Health hemp and CBD products.
It depends on dosage, method of consumption, your biochemistry, and the nature of the problem.
Generally, CBD takes effect in 20-30 minutes, but the range can be a few minutes to a couple of hours. Keep in mind, the effects are subtle. After several uses, many people report that they notice the Elixir taking the edge off within minutes.
With respect to using extracts and isolates, it’s often a case of “less is more.” In certain studies, high doses of CBD have been shown to be less effective than low or moderate doses. The World Health Organization reports that “CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile.”
The organization’s 2018 review of CBD states, “In general, CBD has been found to have relatively low toxicity, although not all potential effects have been explored.” Our Elixirs come in varying strengths and with a precision dropper so you can start with a low dose and adjust based on how you feel.
This is the perfect question to ask your doctor. Cannibidiol (CBD) is a prominent compound in full spectrum extracts and isolates. CBD is a more potent inhibitor of cytochrome P450 than the grapefruit compound Berapten.
If grapefruit interacts with your medication, then CBD probably does, too. Your physician may want to monitor your blood levels for potential changes once he or she gives you the go-ahead, adjusting prescriptions as needed.
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a major chemical-signaling network that works throughout the brain and body.
The ECS maintains healthy equilibrium by modulating functions such as appetite, digestion, metabolism, stress, sleep, mood, pain, immune response, and movement.
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a major chemical-signaling network that works throughout the brain and body.
The ECS maintains healthy equilibrium by modulating functions such as appetite, digestion, metabolism, stress, sleep, mood, pain, immune response, and movement.
Signs may include a high sensitivity to pain, anxiety, or “low” moods, junk food addiction, chronic pain and/or inflammation, and difficult-to-treat skin conditions.
There is a lot of scientific interest in this very question. Researchers are looking for links between the ECS and conditions such as migraines, fibromyalgia, and irritable bowl syndrome.
Evidence suggests that a dysfunctional ECS may play a role in immune problems, fatigue, chronic pain, mood disorders, and PTSD.
