I have a Fever

I have a Fever

A slight fever is often the result of your immune system’s way of clearing up an infection or toxic overload. Your body naturally raises its temperature on its own to “burn out” harmful poisons. The heat from a fever can also de-activate virus replication, so unless a fever is exceptionally high (102 for adults, 103 for kids) or lasting for more than two days it is sometimes wise to let it run its course.

Drinking plenty of liquids, such as:

  • Diluted juices, water, broths and herbal teas.

  • Carrot, beet and cucumber juice also aids in cleaning the kidneys and lowering the temperature.

  • Sip on lemon juice with maple syrup and a pinch of cinnamon in the morning and grapefruit juice during the evening.

Apply peppermint tea cooling compresses to the head or use cool water sponges.

Add Dead Sea Salts to your bath to reduce aches and pains.

Apply Vicks Vapor Rub to the bottom of your feet and cover with socks.
