  • Grapefruit: Freshly squeezed grapefruit diluted with water. Equal parts of water and grapefruit will ease the flu.
  • Lettuce leaves: Take leaf of lettuce and boil it in plenty of water. Drink every hour.
  • Onion Soup: Cut 1 large yellow onion in small pieces; cover with 2 quarts of water; simmer for 1/2 hour. Strain and add honey to taste. Drink 2 cups every 2 hours until flu is gone.
