Breakfast Berry Smoothie PDF Print E-mail

This breakfast-in-a-glass is packed with sustaining nutrients to keep up your energy levels all morning. Strawberries contain lignin, which helps reduce blood cholesterol, and oats are one of the most effective cholesterol-lowering foods.

Ingredients:

  • 7 oz or 200 g strawberries
  • 3 ½ oz or 100 g raspberries
  • 3 ½ fl oz or 100 ml soymilk
  • 1 ½ oz or 40 g unsweetened granola  

Preparation:

Reserve a strawberry for decoration, then juice the remainder with the raspberries. Place the juice in a blender with the soymilk and granola, and blend until almost smooth. Pour into glasses, top each smoothie with half a strawberry, and serve.
